After hearing Dr. Joyce Geeting demonstrating her musicianship as a cellist, I asked her to perform at the Ninth Annual Music Festival.  The performance of Schubert's "Sonata Arpeggione" and the "Notturno"  will remain memorable.  Dr. Joyce Geeting's interpretation, technique and heart-felt expressiveness was an outstanding contribution to the success of this concert.  I would highly recommend that Joyce Geeting be given the opportunity to perform anywhere in the world, as her talend is a rare find.

Joyce, I want to thank you for a wonderful performance of the Elgar Cello Concerto.  It was so nice to have a soloist who was willing to spend the extra time necessary to insure a convinging musical performance.  I hae received numerous compliments about your interpretation.  I especially loved the freedom you gave that wonderful slow momement.  It was one of those times I shall cherish for years to come.

This is to let you know how very pleased I was with the beautiful performance you gave for the Ojai Conductor's Circle program.  You were impecable, and the interpretation was the kind a composer dreams of.  I commend you for achieving a memorable performance of my music.

Your performance last Saturday was beautiful.  Your tone and technic were outstanding - you make the "Haydn Concerto" sound easy to play, which of course, is not the case.  You handled the extreme ranges so gradually and the whole piece with such artistry and sensitivity.  Many patrons commented that your concert was a highlight for them.  The Conejo Symphony was proud to have you as our guest artist.

I can't let another day go by without telling you what an outstanding concert your trio played last night.  It is obvious that with your high level of artistry, you attract colleagues for your trio such as Goid Medal Winner Pianist Robert Thies, and renown performer, violinist and teacher Lorenz Gamma .  It was a real thrill to hear the skill, technique, musicality and intonation of the trio... also good choice of the program!  Everytime I hear you, I am impressed with the beautiful sound of your cello.  I hope you keep active with your trio.

"Dr. Joyce Geeting received an award for the quality of her studio teaching, and I'd like to take the opportunity to point out that she also continues to play herself at a very high level. She has just performed Tchaikowsky's "Variations on a Rococo Theme" with the Claremont Symphony Orchestra and, as the conductor for that performance, I can vouch for the wonderful musicianship and technique she displayed, as well as for the enthusiastic response from both the audience and the orchestra members. My congratulations go to Dr. Geeting on this occasion."

Few things are quite as powerful or soul stirring -  as music played live.  It was truly a pleasure to listen to your trio.  The violinist and pianist were remarkable. The pianist played with such passion, his notes filled the air.  It was a treat for all of us to hear you at your best.

What a great concert you gave at Ascention!  It was so fabulous, all 215 attendees are still talking about how much they enjoyed it!  There was intresting variety and contrast, and having your students play was so impressive.  One person exclaimed “I never heard nine cellos all at once before”.  Your artistry is marvelous.  The Cesar Franck sonata was so beautiful, and the David Popper “Serenade” and “Hungarian Rhapsody” kept us hanging on to every note!

..Edith Ott, Dir. of Concert Series
I enjoyed seeing the concert on Saturday… deep thanks to you and your colleagues for a remarkable performance.  It was a joy to hear them!

Joyce - I so thoroughly enjoyed your
magnificent concert last night.  I was
sitting in the second row. To have such
incredible seating to hear and watch the most  magnificent performances by
worldclass virtuosos was beyond any
musical experience I have ever had.
